Book A Breathing Space In The Middle Of Your City

:Breather: Book A Breathing Space In The Middle Of Your City
It often takes the guidance of a yoga teacher to remind us to breathe deeply. Let’s do it together now. One deep breath in…and out.

Feel better?

We often forget to take the breaks that have the opportunity to recharge us. Quiet, empty spaces are essential for suits and yogis alike. If you’re prone to forget, you may want to take out your phone for a Breather.

The Breather app began when New York Times bestselling author and CEO of Breather, Julien Smith, was traveling extensively for conferences. Julien found himself trying to work in busy, noisy coffee shops and hotel lobbies.

We’ve all been there, among others who are also frantically working, talking, trying unsuccessfully to find plugs and crossing fingers to connect to horrible WIFI. Julien wanted to create the perfect workspace for the person on-the-go, like himself.

This is how Breather was born.

You can book rooms for a 30-minute recharge or for the whole day. Think of it as AirBnB lite.

Since the beginning of Breather, it has taken many faces. Individuals with epilepsy or narcoleptics may use the spaces for napping, or simply getting away from the hustle and bustle. Yogis grab a Breather space on their lunch break and enjoy a quiet solo-practice. Sometimes students inhabit the spaces for a space to study quietly.

Picture this Montreal: you’re steps away from the Mount-Royal Metro station. You’re sitting on a nice comfortable couch facing a wall full of windows surrounded by adorable, minimalistic decorations, books, and a true Montreal-loft feel. What will you do next? Brew yourself a cup of coffee? A couple of sun salutations on the yoga mat in the corner? Take a nap as the sun beams in?

All you have to do is download the app, check out the map, select the space nearest to you, and book it! Most of these spaces have coffee, yoga mats, books…everything you need for a quick little me-sesh.

It has come to this. We need to book our peace and quiet. On-demand Zen at our fingertips? We could get used to this.
