Often people complain about hard work. They’re waiting for their vacation, for their pension or their coffee break.
Yet there are times when the hard work feels worth it. This is certainly the case when you’re on the receiving end of an award.
Whether you want to thank a higher power or an understanding partner, you are probably more than an island. Let your meditation humble you and to infuse you with gratitude.
As you sit, inhale and think “Thank.” Exhale and think “You.” This can go out to the particular sources in your life that held you up, or this can go out to the universe at large.
If you like your mantras to be in Sanskrit, the word for “Thank You” is Dhanyavaadaha.
You can allow the mantra to infuse your body and eventually dissolve, until you are left with nothing but gratitude.
Awards are lovely but it is gratitude that will carry you through.
