I first sipped this juicy libation while poolside in Las Vegas. Ever since that gorgeous day, I’ve been trying to recreate it, without the sugar and artificial flavours of course. (Yuck!) The memory of aromatic strawberries together with light and crisp dragon fruit has stayed with me ever since.
This bubbly cocktail will serve five (or less if you’re very thirsty), so gather some friends and enjoy!
Go organic, friends.
1. Follow the brewing instructions for the Lychee Bloom, using only 3 cups of boiling water instead of 4. Chill your tea for a few hours in the fridge, or the freezer if you’re in a hurry.
2. Muddle the strawberries and dragon fruit together, with honey or maple syrup if desired. Add your tea and sparkling water.
3. Fill your cocktail glasses with ice, and add an ounce of vodka to each one. Pour your concoction into the glasses, and garnish with a slice of lime.
4. Find some sunshine and enjoy!
Lookin’ for a way to use the other half of your dragon fruit? Nurse your morning after headache with this delicious smoothie.
