We may start the day out balanced, but then it gets all out of whack. You’d be fine if it weren’t for this $#^$ [insert expletive here] technology.
We’re so used to working efficiently that when our computers make us pause, it can be enough to have a mini-meltdown. Even if you’re in the middle of an assignment, even if you have a deadline looming, it is possible to overcome your stress.
This meditation can save you every time.
Step away from the keyboard. You sitting there powerlessly is not helping matters.
Begin to breathe deeply and fully.
Then, begin to do a specific breath, taking four breaths in through the nose.
First breath, fill the lungs one quarter.
Second breath, fill the lungs one half. And so on.
After your lungs are totally full, pause for a second and slowly let the air out in one long stream. Do this for at least one minute or for longer if you need to regroup.
You can expect this meditation to bring you back if you have temporarily lost your cool. Hey – it happens. But everything, including a tech meltdown can be surrendered.
We don’t have to sweat it. We can breathe, reboot and regenerate.
