Waking up on your wedding day, you hear a lot of positive statements: Today’s the big day! It’s finally here! and This will be the greatest day of your life!
It can be a lot of pressure.
Having the love of your life beside all of the other loves of your life in a giant party is nothing short of spectacular. However, many people say after the fact that the day goes by too fast. From seeing their beloved at the end of the aisle to cutting the cake, it can feel like time has an entirely different meaning. It is so much good in too short a time.
Meditation can help to bend the perception of time and it can also help you to be in the moment. What better day to practice than one of the most memorable days of your life?
We only ask for a few minutes at the beginning of the day.
Take a breath in and as you do so think in.
Take a breath out and as you do so think out. You may be excited and it may be hard to focus. Do your best to bring yourself to the simple present breath.
Mindfulness can help the day to feel longer and each moment to be savoured. Every time you feel yourself getting caught up in the stress, take a couple of very focused breaths and look around you with fresh eyes.
Let time stand still for a second. You are surrounded by love.
Happy wedding day.
