Start these warm summer days with this lime and minty health snack and save the boozy version for the summer nights. Fibre-rich pear and kale plus creamy avocado make this smoothie super filling and satisfying. And maybe this is new for you, but young carrot tops taste quite neutral and are packed with nutrients, chlorophyll and fibre – the perfect addition to a smoothie. You'll never toss your tops again!
1 pear, cored, peel on
1/3 an avocado
1 large leaf of kale, no stem
1 young carrot top
juice of 1/3 a lime (or half if small)
3-4 large mint leaves
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
1 cup of filtered water (or more if needed)
Blend until smoothe and enjoy this recipe day after day after day. Ole!
