'Tis the season for greens! Especially out west where the weather's been dreamy.
Here I went wild with a few different varieties of leafies. Green apple, although tart, magically sweetens things up and makes the flavour of this green medicine highly palatable… even addictive.
This dreamy green combination is low in saturated fat and sodium and very low in cholesterol. It's also an excellent source of protein, dietary fibre, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, calcium, magnesium, folate and iron. To boot, plant nutrients, phenols and flavenoids, assist our bodies in healing, allow for additional fluid intake to reverse issues of dehydration and reactivate our magnicificent ability to heal ourselves.
And did ya know, romaine lettuce has a calming effect? You'll float through your day content as a clam.
