5 Outdoor Yoga Spots To Get Your Yoga On In Toronto This Summer

:: 5 Outdoor Yoga Spots To Get Your Yoga On In Toronto This Summer
Don’t lose your ability to downdog just because you’re busy soaking up the rays. Give your mat some loving grass stains by trying out these summer classes in TO:

Donation based yoga classes based in the Riverdale Park of East End Toronto. Your money will be going to a good cause: part of the proceeds of each class will go to Nellie’s Shelter for women and children.

When: Saturdays 10-11am, Monday 7-8pm
Cost: Donation based
Instructors: From the Flying Yogi (often Beatrix Montanile)
Note: A fundraising event for Nepal is being planned for the July 11/12 weekend. This will also coincide with the 10-year anniversary of Park Yoga.

Some of Toronto’s most well known instructors bring their creative flows to the charming Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood for amazing outdoor practices.

When: Sunday mornings from 10-11am
Cost: FREE!
Instructors: Always changing, always amazing!
Note: In the case of rain, classes are moved to the Lululemon Queen Street store.

Octopus Garden has big open windows in their studio, but why not get directly outside with their fun-loving instructors in Dufferin Grove Park?

When: Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30am
Cost: FREE!
Instructors: Experienced Octopus teachers (but you don’t have to be an experienced student; it is all levels).
Note: Weather cancellations are noted ASAP on Facebook and Twitter so stay connected to your social media just before you head over!

What better way to take your practice outdoors than on a paddleboard? You are required to complete a first-time class to make sure you have the basics down before getting addicted to their daily classes. Located in the Beaches by Hubbard and Macclean.

When: Check the website for daily classes, but often 6am or 9am
Cost: $35 for 1.5 hour classes
Instructors: Lots of water dwelling yogis!
Note: They will text you or email you up to 2 hours before to let you know if there are weather-related cancellations.

YogaBe couldn’t be more inside during the winter months if they tried (they are located in Toronto’s underground path). Who deserves Vitamin D more? Join them every Wednesday from July 8-August 26 in David Pecault Square.

When: Wednesday mornings from 7:30am-8:30am
Cost: Free!
Instructors: The YogaBe team
