tuja's Guide to Toronto's Burke Brook Ravine

Who says you have to live in the mountains to enjoy hiking out your backdoor? Our urban explorer shows us the way to a (not so) secret trail in the middle of Toronto.

Looking for a way to get back to nature without leaving the city? City Connector, Mary Lorenzoni, takes a tuji selfie video as she gets her sweat on doing the centrally located Burke Brook Ravine trail. Join her and discover how easy to access and serene this urban trail is.

To get to Burke Brook, Mary's insider tip is to take the subway to Lawrence Station and go a few blocks south to find the trail head. How easy is that? The best part about the trail is that within a few steps you'll forget you're in the middle of the city and be communing with nature.

See you on the trail, T-Dot.

Thanks to Mary for contributing this tuji-selfie video. If you liked this nature break - please share it and like it. Did you give this hike a try? Share your pics with us on Facebook or Instagram.

Want to show us your favourite trail and have your tuji-selfie video featured on tuja wellness? Drop us a comment or send us a quick email and we'll get you set up with the how-to.
