I was introduced to Chia fresca a few years back by friend and holistic nutritionist Samantha Peris of nu roots nutrition. Since reading her take on fresca (means ‘fresh’ in Spanish), I’ve been concocting my own in as many cool combinations as I can think of.
Bonafide superfood chia brimming in omega 3s and fibre, is considered a complete protein, and contains the essential minerals, calcium and iron. Blackberries are jam-packed with antioxidants, high in fibre and bursting with vitamins – especially C and K.
And who doesn’t love a little honey? When raw, honey contains loads of vitamins, minerals and enzymes to aid digestion. A little dollop’ll do ya!

Let the chia seeds and honey soak in the water for 5 minutes OR you can do this overnight in the fridge so they’re ready to rock in the morning. Add the remaining ingredients and blend for a few seconds.
